I enjoy your classes so much, and not just for the yoga training. This has been a year of challenge for me as I struggled with depression and a troubled marriage, but your classes and yoga have helped me find a new source of strength.

After just six weeks of yoga (4-5 times per week), my lower back pain is gone. I credit the strengthening of my core guided by expert instruction with this phenomenal accomplishment. Yoga has also brought much relief from the arthritic pain associated with lupus, an autoimmune disease which attacks my joints. By the end of class, the pain from the arthritis is either greatly relieved or entirely gone.

I very much enjoyed the yoga session for golfers on Saturday. You are a superb teacher. ALSO, I played golf Saturday afternoon and had career drives on Numbers 3, 4, 9, 12, 15 and 17. If it was because of the yoga, I’d like to enroll in every session you have, all day, every day!

I am a once-a-week yoga student and train in Martial Arts four or five times a week. I am 34 years old competing in the 18-34 age group. Last week, after coming to class two days in a row instead of only one, my Thursday night sparring was the best it’s ever been! I can’t be 18 again, but my yoga practice does give me an edge!

Participating in The Yoga Challenge has been a very effective form of stress release for me. It has helped me become more in touch with myself and to let go of pent up emotion. Yoga has also taught me to appreciate my body more. I feel so much more confident and all around better when I am practicing regularly.

After years of practicing yoga, I had stopped attending classes. Too hot, too fast, too slow, too far away–I just couldn’t find the right fit. A friend told me about Inspire two weeks after I had been diagnosed with lupus. I knew it was time to start getting serious about my practice again. After my first class I knew I had found a new yoga home. I try to get to class at least twice a week, and am happy to announce that I am symptom free. Not only does my body feel better, I am calmer, more relaxed, and have been able to return to work full time. Thanks for “inspiring” me!!!
-Jennifer R.
Thank you for your superb yoga instruction! I appreciate the depth of knowledge you bring to your teaching. I know my practice has improved through your influence. Thanks for your dedication and passion for helping folks develop in their practice.
-Elizabeth
Unlike organized religion, yoga has truly taken root in me. I honor my breath and my breath truly defines my outlook. I become stronger and able to see past my socially-constructed boundaries. It is just what I need. After I take a class I feel a great sense of mental calmness and physical energy, I have a better attitude towards things and it definitely relieves any stress I feel. Starting to learn yoga is the best thing I ever did for myself!

Thank you for the direction and true personal caring that you show to me and to all who enter your studio. You know when to push, when to challenge, when to ease off, when to sit quietly and listen, and most of all when to totally, completely change direction…
-Kathryn
I have to tell you how much I love the studio and the instructors! I can’t imagine not going three times a week. My flexibility and strength have improved noticeably in the last month. I have also improved my marathon training and I’m sure it’s because I’m stronger.

I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for your teaching and encouragement. I was recently reminded again how powerful a life with yoga is! I had surgery that resulted in a five-day hospital stay followed by six weeks of tough recovery. The third day that I woke in the hospital I decided to try some modified postures. I could feel my body’s response instantly; it was the start of my true recovery. The day included my first walk, and the first feelings of healing. Thanks for the lessons of body, mind and spirit healing.

I could not touch my toes when I started at Inspire Yoga. When I finally did touch my toes, I called my friend to tell her about it and realized my teachers had been right about letting go of fear. When I practice without judgment I eventually overcome the fear and the pose just happens.
Thanks to all the instructors at Inspire for their time and patience.

I have been “in and out of yoga” for a number of years but found myself drawn back to it two years ago when I was undergoing radical changes in my life. Yoga has enabled me to pull back from all of the negative aspects and reconnect with my mind, body, and spirit. With Mara’s patient guidance I see the profound, yet subtle changes that yoga can bring to all aspects of my life. I am still working on “letting go,” but it’s a much easier journey with yoga.
-Linda
I love that I learn not only more about yoga practices, but I am challenged each time that I come to Inspire Yoga. I love that each class encourages me to try something new and then laugh it off. Along the way, the seriousness that I impose upon myself and my life melt away in the movements of yoga. Yoga lifts my heart, mind and soul. Having a studio where I can find these things is the bonus of my week, and a goal of where I want to take my life. I thank you for all the times that I’ve enjoyed class but hurried our the door and neglected to say how much I appreciate your knowledge and what you do.

I feel a better sense of myself and more comfortable with who I have become since beginning yoga a little over a year ago. Another great benefit I have received is being able to play with my kids on the floor with more ease and comfort than previously. I’m more flexible, I have more strength, and I can get in and out of some pretty awkward and silly positions that little kids sometimes demand of their parents.
With each class I attend and with every breakthrough and accomplishment I make, I realize how much more I have yet to learn. For me, that’s part of the fun and what keeps me coming back for more. I love that this is a journey with no “final” goal to reach, other than working to more fully integrate my yoga practice into my life!

I really enjoy your yoga studio. I have been coming to KC every two to three weeks for the last nine years as a sales rep, but have discovered the wonderful benefits of yoga over the past nine months. I travel all over the country and have been able to find wonderful studios like yours with great classes at various times in the evening and early morning. It is a refreshing lift to my spirit to know that at the end of my day in KC I don’t have to go back to the hotel and hit the treadmill but can come to your studio for an excellent class. Don’t tell my boss, but I really come for the class and just sell software as a cover to get me to KC!
-Kip Trout
The line-up of great, inspirational, experienced teachers is what I most enjoy about my practice here. They are all wonderful, and it’s been my pleasure and privilege to practice with them. Inspire Yoga studio is KC’s best place to practice and learn yoga!

Since coming to yoga I have found a new “peace.” I have always believed in God and have lived a spiritual life but the yoga has truly helped me slow down–not with “tasks” but within my own body. Now I can feel when the stress is building and I need to go to more classes, breathe, or breathe more deeply, or simply just be still and let things go.
I remember my very first yoga class when my shoulders were up in my ears from holding on to stress. After I started attending your studio people in my office asked me what I was doing that was different. I know that it’s the tools you have given me through yoga that have made this huge difference in my life. I believe that the practice truly radiates from within.

I started the beginners class three weeks ago. It was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. When I get home on Monday nights I feel too good to go to bed. Such vitality can’t be wasted!
-Nancy Nicolay
Yoga has enabled me to learn about my own body. It has enabled me to handle two serious diseases and two serious operations. Doing yoga has taught me that my body is capable of more than I ever thought it was. It has taught me how I can deal with pain and discomfort and how to keep my joints lubricated and flexible.
Yoga is my safe haven. When I am in my yoga class, I can totally tune out the world’s demands and expectations. At the end of every yoga class I am amazed at my energy level. It totally restores and renews me.

Before coming to Inspire, I practiced in a gym atmosphere. The difference between that experience and the knowledgeable, positive atmosphere at Inspire is huge. The quality of instruction is excellent and the staff is very warm and supportive. I leave each and every class energized and uplifted. My practice has become so much more meaningful to me now. Inspire Yoga lives up to its name in every way!
-Karen
I love all the classes I have taken at Inspire Yoga. Jennifer is a very helpful and fun instructor, which helps me to continue on my path back to health. I have enjoyed all the instructors–so kind and personable each one.
-Molly B.
I would recommend your class to anyone from a first-time student to a dedicated yogi. It has the perfect balance of meditation and physical endurance but is taught in such a relaxing and therapeutic manner, you hardly realize how hard you are working. I have attended many yoga classes in different styles and yoga flow is certainly my favorite.
I could feel the difference in my body and mind after a session and throughout the year was able to take that calming sensation home as well. It is truly incredible how something so soothing as yoga practice can tone and strengthen your body, especially in places most other forms of exercise neglect.
Thank you so much for helping me through a painful and difficult year. I don’t know what I would have done without your studio–the amazingly kind and talented teachers and the sweet atmosphere brought a sense of peace and purpose that I really needed.
-M.C.
