Beginners’ classes

I could not have picked a better place to begin my journey down the Yoga Path. I sought out yoga to keep my 50 year old body flexible and strong. What I didn’t count on was the generosity of the teachers in starting me to open my heart and mind to flexibility and strength as well.

Beginners’ 5-week series (Anusara-inspired Yoga*)

This class, taught by Anusara-Inspired* instructor Clint Forrestt, is designed for any yoga newbies, or for those who are new to Anusara yoga. It is an excellent, structured way of getting to know the basics of hatha yoga. We will take you through the fundamentals of alignment and breathing which will come into immediate play in your everyday life. You can begin to experience for yourself some of the benefits that can arise from practicing yoga such as increased flexibility, strength, cardiovascular and digestive health, as well as a sense of well-being and relaxed awareness.

Through the Universal Principles of Alignment, balanced energetic action, and the power of intention, the practice of hatha yoga becomes a beautiful process of transformation and celebration. With practice, we can reconnect to our own true nature of equanimity, balance, sensitivity, courage, and harmony.

Class sizes are limited so that you will receive lots of personal attention and can gain the skills and confidence to move into the ongoing classes when you are ready. Many students will take the beginners session over and over again for as long as they need to or want to before moving into the all-levels classes.
