Thai Yoga with Tung Buinicole

Tung is pleased to announce that he is now offering Thai Yoga Massage at Inspire Yoga or at his condo studio by appointment! A deeply relaxing and rejuvenating thai yoga session awaits you!

After getting a small taste of Traditional Thai Yoga training in 2007, Tung knew he had found a healing modality that would complement his life-long journey of yoga, and he would love to share with you this small taste of Thai Yoga at this blissful, playful workshop!

In Feb. 2009, Tung sought out further training in this healing modality and became a certified Thai Yoga Therapy Practitioner under Saul David Raye, who is one of the leading teachers of Yoga and Thai Yoga. Tung has been blessed to learn from Saul who was personally certified to teach this ancient healing art by the legendary Asokananda, one of the world’s foremost experts in Traditional Thai Massage.

“Thank you so much for the Thai Yoga sessions.  Please know that they are pure bliss, and you are a gifted healer.  The session was very relaxing and healing. The time just flew by and I felt like all of the tight areas in my body received attention.  The transitions between deep stretches flowed very smoothly.  I was able to be in a peaceful state of relaxation throughout – pure bliss!” ~Nancy K.

FAQs

What is Thai Yoga Massage?

Thai Yoga, Thai Bodywork, Thai Therapy, and/or Thai Massage is a unique experience in healing and rejuvenation, which combines assisted yoga postures and massage. It is a healing art based entirely on principles of energy balancing; the actual touching, contact and rhythmic compressions are incidental to, but not the central aim of the session. If you like yoga or you like massage, you’ll probably find that you love Thai Yoga Massage!

How is it done?

The Thai Yoga practitioner moves your body deeply into a wide range of yoga postures using their own positioning, alignment, and bodyweight for support. It is as if yoga is being done to you and not by you. Therefore, Thai Yoga Massage is sometimes referred to as the “lazy person’s yoga”. It’s done on a cushioned floor with the client dressed in comfortable clothing. Typical sessions are done in 2 hours to address not only problem areas, but addressing the body as a whole.

What does a Thai Yoga Massage feel like?

Thai Yoga Massage is immensely therapeutic to your body, mind, and spirit. You’ll feel energized, lighter and more open as you receive a comprehensive full-body treatment that relieves pain and soreness, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and charges the whole body, mind, and spirit to harmony and balance. Whether you have a yoga practice or not, Thai Yoga will leave you refreshed and alive. Think of it as a healing art with benefits of a full yoga practice with none of the effort!
